Software Updates

Update philosophy:

We believe in continuous improvement. Our lifetime licenses include:

  • Bug fixes - Always free
  • Security patches - Always free
  • Compatibility updates - Always free
  • Minor improvements - Always free
  • Major features - May require upgrade

How updates work:

Automatic updates (default):

  1. App checks for updates on launch
  2. Notification appears when available
  3. Click "Update Now" or "Remind Me Later"
  4. Updates download in background
  5. Installs on next app restart

Manual updates:

  1. Go to Help → Check for Updates
  2. Or download from our website
  3. Install over existing version
  4. Settings and licenses preserved

Update settings:

Configure in Settings → Updates:

  • Enable/disable auto-check
  • Choose update channel (Stable/Beta)
  • Set check frequency
  • Enable/disable notifications

Support Options

Free support includes:

Getting Help

Before contacting support:

  1. Check the docs - Often the fastest solution
  2. Search Discord - Someone may have asked already
  3. Try safe mode - Hold Shift while launching app
  4. Update the app - May already be fixed
  5. Restart Windows - Classic but effective

When contacting support:

Include this information:

  • App name and version (Help → About)
  • Windows version (Win + Pause)
  • What you were doing when issue occurred
  • Exact error message (screenshot helps)
  • Steps to reproduce the problem

Common issues:

Installation problems:

  • Run installer as Administrator
  • Temporarily disable antivirus
  • Check Windows is up to date

License activation:

  • Check entered characters
  • Paste key without spaces
  • Ensure internet connection

Performance issues:

  • Update graphics drivers
  • Check system requirements
  • Disable hardware acceleration
  • Clear app cache

Feature Requests

How to request features:

  1. Post in Discord - #feedback channel

  3. Be specific - Include use cases and examples

What happens next:

Bug Reports

How to report bugs effectively:

Required information:

  1. What happened - The actual behavior
  2. What should happen - Expected behavior
  3. Reproduction steps - How to trigger it
  4. Frequency - Always/sometimes/once
  5. System info - OS, app version

Bonus points for:

  • Screenshots or recordings
  • Error messages (exact text)
  • Log files
  • Sample files (if applicable)
  • Workarounds you've found

Bug report lifecycle:

  1. Reported - We've received it
  2. Confirmed - We can reproduce it
  3. In Progress - Being fixed
  4. Fixed - In next update
  5. Released - Update available
